A short, plain-language note. No tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, no profiling — only what is strictly required for the site to function and for direct correspondence to reach me.

What this site does and does not collect

This is a personal editorial site. Browsing it does not require an account, does not place advertising or tracking cookies, and does not build a profile of you.

The host (Netlify) records standard server logs — IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL — retained for a short period for security and operational diagnostics. These logs are not used for analytics or marketing.

02

Cookies

No analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking cookies are set. Only strictly technical cookies that the host or browser may use to deliver the page are involved, and they are not read for any other purpose.

03

The contact form

If you write through the form on the contact page, the message is transmitted via Netlify Forms, which acts as the form processing service for this site. The fields submitted — name, email, message — are forwarded to my mailbox and stored by Netlify according to its retention policy.

The legal basis is your consent and, where applicable, the legitimate interest of corresponding with you about the subject of your enquiry. The data is used only to reply.

04

Newsletter

Prompt Thinking is published on Substack. Subscriptions are managed entirely by Substack on its own platform; no email address you provide there is held on this site. To subscribe or unsubscribe, use the controls on Substack itself.

05

External links

Outbound links — to Substack, Amazon, Mondadori, LinkedIn, X, the ventures listed under that section — lead to third-party sites with their own data practices. Once you leave this site, those policies apply.

06

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may exercise any of these rights by writing to the address above; a reply usually follows within a reasonable period.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country of residence — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes
